"Problem gambling can do a huge amount of damage to people's lives, and people are rightly concerned about the new, highly addictive betting machines that are appearing like a rash all over our High Streets.
"Liberal Democrats have ensured there is no question of raising the £100 stake. It is right and fair that the coalition government are instead asking whether the maximum amount people can play on these machines should be reduced."
