Stroud Liberal DemocratsDeputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has blocked a Conservative plan to cap onshore wind generation.
In practical terms, that would have meant no new onshore wind projects would have been supported by the Government.
But Nick Clegg refused to allow the Tories to move the goalposts on green energy again.

Wind turbines based on land are an important part of the UK's energy mix - last year they produced enough electricity to power about 4 million homes.
It would have been wrong of the Tories to create some sort of crude block towards onshore wind, which would damage business investment in energy and would take us two steps back when it comes to tackling climate change.
