Double by election victory

Two local Lib Dem teams have stormed to victory in three by elections held yesterday.

Firstly, Peter Agoro took a seat from Labour in Aylesbury, while the local Lib Dem group also held onto one other seat.

And in Rawcliffe Parish Council in York, John Ballantine gained the seat from an Independent, taking the Lib Dem group on the council to 4 out of the 9 seats on this Parish, up from none in 2011.
